How do I protect myself from new types of phone scams?

Some individuals falsely claim to be partnering with OKX and proactively contact users by phone, inviting users to join third-party chat groups such as WeChat or Telegram. They then attempt to lure users into transferring their assets, ultimately committing fraud. These activities are highly deceptive, please stay vigilant and do not trust such claims.

How do I identify and prevent:

1. Be cautious of unknown calls and verify the identity of the caller.

If you receive a call from someone claiming to be OKX official or falsely claiming to be cooperating with OKX and inviting you to join WeChat groups, Telegram groups, or other third-party chat tools, please verify their identity immediately through official OKX channels (here).

Note: Official customer service will only contact users through the in-app voice function. We will not proactively reach out via mobile phone calls, SMS, or any external platforms. Any phone call claiming to be from OKX is a scam and always remain vigilant.

Scammers often send phishing links or malicious software in group chats to lure users into clicking. Once you interact with these links, your personal information may be leaked at best, and your assets could be stolen at worst. Always verify the source of any link in every situation to avoid losses caused by curiosity or misplaced trust.

3. Never disclose your personal account information

OKX has never authorized or entrusted any third-party organization or individual to contact users by phone or through group chats. We will never ask for your password, verification codes, or any other sensitive information. Please keep your personal information secure and avoid providing any account-related details through unofficial channels.

If you have further inquiries, please contact customer service through official OKX channels. For more details, please refer to: How to properly verify official channels?
