Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) just said screw you to the broader market nuke and is up 90% this week
The catalyst? AI, specifically 'self writing apps'.
I'll explain what's going on:
i) @dominic_w (Founder of @dfinity, the lab behind ICP) published an article (link below) on "Caffeine", and I'm not talking the stimulant.
Caffeine enables "self writing apps".
Agents are becoming increasingly good at coding, so it's no surprise that most software will be developed by AI going forward.
ii) Its SNS DAO Vote took place: This operationalizes "autonomous DAOs" for any dApp, reinforcing long-term governance utility of ICP
I've spoke openly about the failures of traditional DAOs, with lack of participation. Having AI manage these could be a viable solution to future governance systems.
Self governing, self propelling machines with no off switch. A dystopian thought, and all verifiable onchain.
It's an interesting concept and makes sense why we've seen the recent pump.
If you zoom out on the chart it's still down a long way, but I'm all for builders who experiment at the forefront of emerging tech with novel ideas.
Now keen to see how it rolls out and if AI creates any breakout apps.
