Expanding USDT0 Access as Tempo's First International Exchange Partner

We’re pleased to announce that OKX is the first international exchange partner outside the U.S. for Tempo, a next-generation Layer 1 network incubated by Stripe and Paradigm.

OKX will integrate Tempo mainnet, enabling USDT0 deposits and withdrawals for customers. OKX Wallet will also support Tempo mainnet globally, allowing customers to hold and manage assets on the network with full self-custody. Together, this brings trading and self-custody into one place, making it easier to move, access, and use stablecoins from day one in the OKX app.

This also introduces a more unified liquidity model, with USDT0 drawing from a shared global USDT supply and operating as a single standard across chains, reducing the need to manage chain-specific differences while supporting high transaction velocity and fast settlement.

Creating Ultimate Interoperability

Interoperability isn't just about supporting more chains. It starts with giving traders access to every asset and every chain, and then making sure those assets can move between them without friction, added cost, or new risk. That's why infrastructure integrations like Tempo matter.

Until now, moving stablecoins across chains meant managing multiple token versions, navigating bridge interfaces, and accepting the latency and counterparty risk that comes with them. For users moving significant volume, that friction is a real cost, and one that compounds every time assets cross a chain boundary.

With USDT0 on Tempo available through OKX, that process is simpler. Deposits and withdrawals on Tempo mainnet are available directly through OKX. Assets can be held and managed through OKX Wallet with full self-custody. Trading and self-custody in one place, no external routing required.

In sum, we're making it easier to move and use stablecoins across chains via:

  • A seamless cross-chain experience: Access a single USDT standard (USDT0) that works consistently across networks — no need to manage multiple versions

  • Better liquidity and pricing: Tap into unified global liquidity with deeper markets and tighter spreads

  • Faster, simpler transfers: Move assets natively across chains without relying on traditional bridges

  • Full control of your assets: Trade on OKX or hold in OKX Wallet — all within one ecosystem

Why Tempo Is Different

Most networks handling stablecoin settlement weren't built for it. They're general-purpose chains with interoperability added afterward, through bridges and wrapped tokens that split liquidity across venues and add risk at every chain boundary.

Tempo is a purpose-built Layer 1 for stablecoin settlement. At its center is USDT0, an omnichain stablecoin built on LayerZero's OFT standard, backed 1:1 by USDT, moving across chains via a lock-and-mint mechanism. Locked on the source chain, minted on the destination, burned on return. No bridge layer, no wrapped token, one canonical supply shared across every supported chain.

The result: liquidity stays unified across chains, bridge risk decreases, and the asset behaves identically wherever it is. Deeper markets, tighter spreads, and consistent settlement behavior, without the operational complexity that cross-chain movement typically carries.

With support across OKX and OKX Wallet, this model becomes directly accessible and brings unified liquidity into a single experience for trading and self-custody.
