$ETH dropped 4.3% in 24 hours while Bitcoin lost 2.8%, and that gap is the first thing I look at every morning. Price stalled right at $2289, wedged between the 7 1D MA at $2329 above and the 25 1D MA at $2280 just below. Volume collapsing 30% week over week tells me this move is exhausting, not accelerating.
Two ways this plays out. If Ethereum holds above $2280 and reclaims $2329, the 14-day resistance at $2465 becomes the real target, but BTC.D at 58.1% makes that a tough ask while capital stays rotated toward Bitcoin. If the 25 1D MA gives way, $2253 is the next support level and a break there opens the door toward the 50 1D MA at $2194. Funding rates at -0.0161% show short bias building, which can fuel a squeeze but also confirms the broader sentiment is fading.
My bias over the next 48 to 72 hours is cautiously bearish. Ethereum is underperforming Bitcoin on both the daily and weekly timeframe, RSI at 47.1 has room to slide before it gets oversold, and Fear and Greed at 33 rarely marks a bottom on its own. The question I want answered before I take any position: does the 25 1D MA hold as support on a retest, or does it crack?
